Global Nurse Force Successfully Recruits 100+ Nurses for Swansea Bay University Health Board in Wales
As a part of the Face to Face recruitment drive organized by Global Nurse Force and Swansea Bay University Health Board, Global Nurse Force successfully recruited over 100+ medical, surgical and theatre nurses for various hospitals across the Welsh Health board.
A total of 119 nurses were interviewed over four days, by a team led by Lynne Jones, head of nursing education and recruitment, Swansea Bay UHB.
This is the first time the Welsh Health Board has come to India to recruit nurses.
The recent shortage of Band Five nurses – due to people retiring, or leaving their roles to take up a new career, is what fueled the Health Board to resort to Overseas Recruitment.
The decision to recruit from India was based on the country’s high number of quality nurses.
“𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆’𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕” says Lynne in an interview with Global Nurse Force.
The collaboration between the two organizations has been highly successful, and the Swansea Bay Team hopes to return to India to recruit more nurses in the future.
